Go Harold! and the beginning of my cleanse

I started my cleanse this week. Of course the weekend before, I majorly pigged out on Indian food. I’m doing the Ejuva program. Remember SNL's Colon Blow commercial. Hee! So far I feel great. No horror stories yet. I haven’t crapped a coach or anything like that. My goal is to comfortably remove as many toxins as I can and eventually eat about an 80% raw diet including the occasional fish or meat as I see fit. It’s like the David Blaine of diets. Being in Phase I is the easy week, just the herbs, a shake I drink in the a.m. with mostly flax and psylium husks and three raw food meals. No booze, sugar, animal products or cooked food for an entire month. As the weeks progress I will be doing more shakes/herbs and less food.

I’m also taking a class that my church has offered up on Emerson’s Essays. Deep man that Emerson. My mind is still marinating in the info I read last night. I’m inspired to “stand in the stream of the river of my life”. On a less deep note, as usual I always find one reality TV show that peaks my interest and that is Top Chef. I am a foodie and I love to cook (or "food prep" as raw foodists say). I don’t get into the reality dating shows where someone always ends up in a hot tub but I do enjoy the more talent-competition type of reality shows. I am having such a little crush on Harold right now. I love the Brooklyn accent and I like a serious fellah. The dark hair-blue eye combo is killer. My head is all filled with food-sex fantasies like that great scene from 9 ½ Weeks. Me and Harold, blindfolds and a fridge full of food . . . but sadly Harold is taken. She is one lucky lady. Girly silliness aside, he is really talented and I wish him all the best. Go Harold! Judging from my blog this week, I bet you thought Andrea was my favorite. Hee!
